JOB SUMMARY

The Release Coordinator is responsible for managing the planning, scheduling, and controlling of software releases, ensuring seamless deployment and minimal disruption to services. He/she will work closely with cross-functional teams to manage the deployment of new features and updates.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a software environment
  • Proven experience in release management or software project coordination.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with following tools: Excel, PowerPoint, JIRA, Confluence
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in an Agile (Scrum / Kanban) environment.
  • Must be delivery-focused and able to take ownership of deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize and escalate issues as needed.
  • Strong customer service orientation.

ADDITIONAL SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2 years working experience in a pharmacy application development and/or support role.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the release lifecycle for pharmacy software, from planning to deployment.
  • Ensure clear communication and collaboration between technical and business teams.
  • Oversee delivery of major releases, service packs, hot fixes and change requests.
  • Develop and maintain Pilot and Rollout release schedules, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned.
  • Be proactive in engaging support staff to ensure high systems availability and speedy issue resolution.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with software releases.
  • Monitor and report on release progress and performance metrics.
  • Continuously improve release processes and strategies.
