PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Salesforce certifications, such as Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Certified Platform Developer, or Salesforce Certified Release Manager, are highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in Salesforce release management and deployment processes.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce configuration, metadata, and development tools.
  • Strong understanding of version control systems and CI/CD practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Release Planning: Collaborate with development teams and business stakeholders to understand the release requirements and priorities. Create and maintain release schedules and plans, considering dependencies and risks. Ensure alignment with Salesforce best practices and governance standards.
  • Release Management: Execute Salesforce release processes, including development, testing, and production deployments. Use version control systems to track changes and maintain a release repository. Manage and document release-related activities, such as change sets, packages, and metadata deployments.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform pre-release testing to identify and address any issues or conflicts. Implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines where applicable.
  • Environment Management: Maintain and configure Salesforce sandboxes and environments for development, testing, and staging. Ensure data integrity and consistency across different environments. Monitor and manage sandbox refreshes as needed.
  • Governance and Compliance: Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements during deployments. Implement and enforce change management and version control processes. Monitor and track the use of Salesforce features and licenses to optimize costs.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain release documentation, including release notes and deployment instructions. Provide regular status updates to project teams and stakeholders. Analyze release performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Investigate and resolve deployment issues and conflicts promptly. Provide support to developers and administrators during release-related activities. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production issues related to Salesforce.
