JOB SUMMARY: The Reliability Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the stability and resilience of the company’s most essential IT systems and services. This role provides 24x7x365 operational support by coordinating major IT incidents, engaging the appropriate technical teams, and driving rapid resolution of service disruptions. The Reliability Analyst facilitates comprehensive root cause analysis (RCA) for significant incidents, ensuring corrective actions are identified, assigned, and delivered on time. The role maintains and enhances documentation for reliability tools and processes, performs data reviews to identify trends, and delivers actionable insights to stakeholders. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Participate in 24x7x365 shift coverage in support of Chevron’s most critical IT assets and services by coordinating major IT incidents, ensuring the right people are engaged to address the problem. Facilitate IT root cause analysis (RCA) investigations to identify root causes, assign action items, and ensure timely adherence to the RCA process by participants. Maintain existing training and process documentation materials for IT reliability tools and processes. Review incident, change, and reliability data for trends and provide a summary of findings and recommendations to stakeholders. Maintain regular contact with key technical teams that support the organization’s most critical IT assets. Influence the IT function to adopt the industry best practices, processes, and tools to improve IT reliability of the systems JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Experience in IT operations, incident management, reliability engineering, or a similar technical support role. Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, applications, and enterprise-level IT environments. Experience with incident, change, or problem management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy). Familiarity with root cause analysis (RCA) methodologies and reliability processes. Ability to analyze operational data and identify trends or systemic issues. Excellent communication and coordination skills for engaging cross-functional technical teams during high-impact incidents. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a structured and detail-oriented approach. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure 24x7x365 environment. Proven ability to influence stakeholders and promote adoption of best practices
