Members of JANA’s Innovation Team, JANA’s Reliability engineers/analysts are responsible for the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of JANA’s core risk modelling technology. Applying an understanding our clients JTBD, the latest in industry regulations and risk modelling approaches, JANA’s Reliability engineers/analysts ensure that our models are technically sound and deliver the insights our clients need to make the best decisions about the safety and integrity of their pipeline systems. JANA’s Reliability engineers/analysts also work to ensure the proper implementation of the risk models, developing the processes required to deliver, supporting JANA’s operations Team through initial deployments of the model and helping our clients understand how to use the results.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Undergraduate or Graduate degree in a STEM field, preferable in Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics
- Undergraduate degree with 5 years risk or reliability engineering experience, or a research-based graduate degree with 1+ years risk or reliability engineering experience
- Experience with advanced statistical and mathematical techniques, including probabilistic models
- Hands-on and able to code as needed. Experience with Python and SQL is an asset.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensed or designation in progress.
- Application of reliability engineering techniques to real-world scenarios
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and devise innovative solutions, even when faced with ambiguity.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exposure to API, ASME and Risk-based inspection-based maintenance programs is an asset
- Prior work experience in the oil & gas, process or utility industry is an asset.
