Description

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Own and lead the site’s Piping Mechanical Integrity Program with a focus on early defect detection and elimination.
  • Ensure asset performance aligns with OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) goals.
  • Fulfill TSSA requirements for pressure piping repairs and ensure compliance with CSA B51.
  • Review and assess welding procedures, NDT reports, and piping specifications, taking corrective actions where necessary.
  • Manage and direct capital projects related to equipment reliability and process improvements.
  • Apply continuous improvement methodologies to drive reliability and efficiency.
  • Leverage and manage CMMS tools (preferably SAP) and understand associated financial and maintenance reports.

Responsibilities

DAILY/PROJECT RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, implement, and manage the mechanical integrity program for:
  • Piping systems, valves, PSVs, steam traps, expansion joints, rupture discs, hoses, etc.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance team on repair planning for critical failures.
  • Participate actively in the site OEE program, managing the Bad Actor List.
  • Lead or support root cause failure analyses (RCFAs) and manage follow-up actions.
  • Perform equipment criticality analysis and ensure adequate spare parts availability.
  • Analyze reliability data and develop failure mitigation plans.
  • Support capital projects to ensure correct equipment design and installation.
  • Lead or participate in shutdown planning, ensuring all key reliability tasks are addressed.
