MIN. QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • University degree in digital automation/instrumentation engineering

WORK EXPERIENCE:.

  • 5+ years experience in a maintenance role
  • Proven previous experience (3+ years) in the specific role activities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven engineering knowledge of instruments (Smart trasmitters, flowmeters, control valves, ..) and their field installation in a Chemical environment Atex classified.
  • Proven engineering knowledge of Safety Logic Solvers (S-PLC) and Digital Control Systems (DCS)
  • Familiarity with common plant documentation (e.g. PFD, P&ID)
Responsibilities
  • Identify ways to improve the reliability, efficiency and quality of the data and applications used
  • Coordinate activities and plans while respecting the operational needs plant during implementations. Provide assistance after installation.
  • Helps on managing the entire lifecycle of digital solution utilizing corporate/site procedure or engineering standards interacting with all relevant site department as well as company peers and vendors/suppliers as needed to resolve problems and improve plant reliability and performance. Ensure that norms and Company guidelines are applied as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installing and Maintaining Instruments: Install new instrumentation systems and configure them to required settings. Perform routine checks and maintenance on existing systems to prevent mechanical failure1.
  • Calibrating Instruments: Calibrate instruments to ensure their accuracy and reliability in data gathering and process control.
  • Diagnosing and Repairing Issues: Diagnose issues and effectuate immediate repairs to mitigate downtime.
  • Documenting Processes: Document processes and maintain service reports to adhere to compliance and operational standards.
  • Collaborating with Teams: Work closely with engineers and other technicians to improve system performance.
  • Ensuring Compliance: Ensure that instrumentation systems comply with regulatory standardsand safety protocols.
  • Identify ways to improve the reliability, efficiency and quality of the data and applications used

Key Tasks:

  • Inspecting and testing instrumentation and control systems.
  • Reading and interpreting complex technical drawings and schematics.
  • Configuring and adjusting control systems and equipment according to production specifications.
  • Providing training and support to other technical staff and team members regarding system operation and troubleshooting complexities.
