Description
As a Reliability Technician, you’ll play a key role in identifying and resolving technical issues, improving maintenance strategies, and supporting long-term reliability initiatives. This role combines technical expertise with analytical thinking to drive continuous improvement across the fleet. Your responsibilities include: Investigate failures and conduct root cause analysis. Analyze maintenance and performance data to identify trends. Develop and implement reliability improvement actions. Support fault-finding, modifications, and engineering changes. Improve maintenance strategies and inspection regimes. Validate reliability metrics and contribute to reporting. Assist with technical training and mentoring of technicians. Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with regulations. Essential Qualifications & Experience Trade qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related field). Experience in heavy vehicle, rail, or industrial maintenance. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals. Safe and competent use of tools and diagnostic equipment. Commitment to safety and procedural compliance. Desirable Skills Rail industry experience. Knowledge of rail systems and standards.
