JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Relief Miller to join our team. The role is responsible for leading site activities when necessary to ensure that the manufacturing, Health & Safety, as well as food safety requirements are met in full to company & customer standards. They will also ensure that both main mill and the Stoneground produce the correct quality, efficiently, effectively, ensuring the Food Safety of our products & the Health & Safety of our colleagues.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Training or knowledge of the Milling functions
• Health and Safety training
• Ability to learn and apply new skills demonstrating a degree of flexibility and self-motivation.
• Adaptable to change
• Effective communicator
• Positive attitude towards problem solving.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

• To lead site activities necessary to ensure that the manufacturing, Health & Safety, as well as food safety requirements are met in full to company & customer standards.
• Ensure that both main mill and the Stoneground produce the correct quality, efficiently, effectively, ensuring the Food Safety of our products & the Health & Safety of our colleagues.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure compliance with all legal requirements including Health and Safety, Environmental, Hygiene. & Food Safety
• Ensure compliance with all relevant company and statutory legislation and contribute towards compliance in the areas of Food Hygiene, Health and Safety, BRC, Product safety (HACCP) and all other areas as appropriate.
• Maximise efficiency of the main mill and the chakki mill to achieve quality, extraction, throughput etc. whilst maintaining Finished Product Specification and Food safety.
• Interpret Quality information and act on results where necessary & take the appropriate action and escalate any concerns accordingly.
• Strict adherence to operational procedures and work instructions.
• Engage in continual plant & product quality Improvements initiative as well as problem solving techniques to improve the performance and participate in training and development.
• Understand, interpret and apply Company Process Standards and systems.
• Assist in general hygiene duties to maintain a high standard.
• To support the ops team where necessary.
• Covering the duties of the Shift Miller during absences.
