We are looking for an ambassador for Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour as Relief Night Manager / Night Auditor. The ambassador should an eye for detail, a passion for creating magnifique luxury experience for our guests and developing a wonderful team. Your Purpose: Choreographing the night with poise, where elegance and precision never sleeps. Job Description Our Ambassador will: Seamlessly lead the hotel overnight, assuming full Night Manager duties and acting as the senior leader in the absence of the General Manager, upholding exceptional luxury service and operational standards. Oversee all late arrivals and early departures with precision and warmth, ensuring personalised, efficient, and discreet guest experiences. Execute all Night Audit and financial balancing responsibilities flawlessly, maintaining PCI compliance, validating daily revenue, and preparing accurate reports for key departments. Manage room allocations and availability with expert judgement, resolving overbooking or relocation needs sensitively to protect the five-star guest experience. Lead all emergency responses, security protocols, and WHS procedures during the night, ensuring guest and staff safety through calm, confident, and effective decision-making. Maintain impeccable presentation of public areas and complete essential nightly duties - wake-up calls, and arrival/departure documentation with uncompromising attention to detail. Collaborate closely with Head of Departments to optimise room allocation, maximise yield, and contribute insights to monthly operational reporting. Qualifications Valid Full New Zealand Drivers Licence with a clean driving history Valid LCQ/Managers Licence is a bonus First Aid Certificate is a bonus Night Allowance at 1.25 of ordinary rate from 00:00am to 05:00am PMS - Opera or Opera Cloud a bonus At least 1 year in a leadership role a bonus in specifically Night Manager experience within the hotel industry Delivers meticulous attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and proactive performance in a fast-paced luxury environment, supported by solid hotel or administrative experience Upholds an elegant, professional presence with warm, engaging energy, and offers full flexibility to work weekends and public holidays Additional Information Learn your Way - Access to Dobeco so you can Earn while you Learn!
