Description The Relief Program Director is responsible for overseeing the Relief Staff pool, by ensuring the effective development, coordination, and management of all Relief Staff. The Relief pool consists of Relief employees who provide essential coverage in the agency's residential programs across both the Recovery and Housing divisions. The Relief Program Director reports to the Director of Human Resources. The Relief Program Director plays a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of Victory Programs' residential services by ensuring that the Relief Staff pool is effectively managed and supported. This dynamic position requires a proactive and flexible approach to meet the diverse needs of the agency and its clients. Relief Program Director will be responsible for the relief phone and to coordinate coverage whenever needed with the exception of weekend coordination and coverage. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the Relief Staff pool by hiring, training, supervising, and coordinating the Relief Staff. Provide guidance and support to ensure high standards are maintained. Assist in the development and expansion of the Relief Staff pool, ensuring a strong and flexible team that can meet the agency's coverage needs. Work closely with the Recovery, Housing divisions, and Prevention to ensure seamless integration of Relief Staff into the various residential programs. Coordinate with program managers to understand their staffing needs and align Relief Staff resources accordingly. Foster a work environment that encourages independent and flexible approaches to scheduling and staff management, ensuring that the unique needs of Relief Staff members and program requirements are met. Monitor and evaluate the performance of the Relief Staff and the Relief Staff pool, implementing improvements as necessary to maintain high standards of care and coverage. Conduct in-field training for staff in each division’s programs, ensuring programmatic consistency and compliance. Assist and back up weekend on-call coordinators as needed to ensure seamless support and coverage. Answer the Relief phone to find coverage for VPI Programs. This can be expected to take place outside of working hours. Required Qualifications: Bachelors’ degree required or minimum of 3-5 years’ non-profit experience in staff management, preferably in a recovery or housing service environment. Experience managing staff schedules to maximize program shift coverage. Strong organizational, record keeping and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and program needs. Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Victory Programs. Strong leadership and team-building capabilities. Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Ability to work and relate to clients in a helpful, directive, firm, yet compassionate manner. Demonstrated ability to work successfully in multicultural settings with diverse client groups. Proficient computer skills, including the use of Google Programs, Microsoft Word and Excel. Must have a valid driver’s license and access to personal vehicles. Providing on-site training for every relief staff hired. Monitor shadowing sessions for each relief staff member. Must be CPR certified (may be obtained upon hire) Completed TB screening (may be obtained upon hire) Three work related professional references; at least 2 from manager or supervisor. Position Type: Full-time (40 Hours) Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm and on-call as needed. On-site. Hybrid model considered after 6 months of continuous employment.
