SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • You are capable of dealing with a variety of situations and are very customer service-focused.
  • You are able to communicate clearly and effectively, attaining a good standard of verbal and written English.
  • You have good organisational and record-keeping skills.
  • You are IT literate and able to use Microsoft Office applications.
  • You are well-presented at all times.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

LICENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • You must have a current SIA DS Licence.
  • Possession of a First Aid at Work Certificate is desirable.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

To provide a professional and welcoming security customer service to station visitors, contractors and passengers. Providing a safe and secure environment and assisting in emergencies and evacuations, in compliance with the site Assignment Instructions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carry out both static and patrolling duties.
  • Provide general security to the station, supporting staff and passengers addressing, and mitigating anti-social behaviour and disorder.
  • Must represent client in a courteous, patient, and professional manner to
  • passengers and staff.
  • Detrain passengers on terminating trains.
  • Assist station staff and provide support on ad hoc operational tasks.
  • Undertake security checks at internal or external areas of the station, as directed by the Station Manager.
  • Complete audit documentation related to security checks.
  • Maintain daily log (stating sign on/off times, breaks, unusual activity, and
  • Logging and escalation of basic maintenance issues to client.
  • Must have a basic understanding of the route and service frequency.
  • Be present for duty on-time, sensibly groomed for an operational environment, and wearing correct uniform and any required personal protective equipment.
  • Must have the correct personal identification documentation at all times.
  • Must be Security Industry Association (“SIA”) trained and certified.
