We are currently seeking a professional and customer-focused Security Receptionist (Relief) to join our team. This is a relief position, providing cover for sickness, blowouts, holiday, and other ad-hoc requirements across our site.
The role combines front-of-house reception responsibilities with core security duties, and requires flexibility, reliability, and a proactive approach.
Additional hours and shifts may be available across other sites within our portfolio for successful applicants, offering the potential for regular ongoing work.
The ideal candidate will hold a valid SIA licence, demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, and maintain a high standard of professionalism at all times.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION

You must have a valid SIA licence to apply for this role. Previous experience of working in a Retail Security Role is an advantage but not essential as full training will be given.

Responsibilities

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

We believe that the best approach to deterring criminal activity is to understand the vulnerabilities and risk of each location, and bespoke our approach to effectively reduce risk. As a Security Officer, you will be required to provide a visible deterrence, respond to incidents, complete incident reports and collaborate with the local authorities.

You will be expected to carry out all guarding responsibilities whilst in store, such as;

  • Act as the first point of contact for all visitors, staff, and contractors, delivering a professional and welcoming reception service.
  • Manage the sign-in/out process for visitors and issue passes where required.
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and deliveries in a polite and efficient manner.
  • Provide assistance and directions to guests and maintain a tidy and organised reception area.
  • Monitor and manage access control systems in line with company procedures.
