RELIEF SECURITY OFFICER – LINCOLN, NEWARK, SPALDING

Location: Covering sites across Lincoln, Newark, Spalding (includes sites like RAF-Scampton)
We offer Contract for 8 hours per week however you’ll be required to work more hours based on business needs
Shifts: Days, nights, weekends – covering holidays, sick leave, and last-minute absences

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a professional and flexible Relief Security Officer to join our team supporting operations in Lincoln, Newark, Spalding. This role plays a key part in maintaining a safe, secure environment across the area by covering shifts at short notice, including weekends and nights.
As part of a trusted Mitie team, you’ll be protecting people, property, and infrastructure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver effective security across Network Rail and other Derby, Burton sites in line with Assignment Instructions (AIs)
• Remain alert and respond promptly to incidents, risks, and emergencies
• Maintain clear and accurate incident logs and follow escalation protocols
• Operate security systems and contribute to a safe, compliant workplace
• Represent the security team with professionalism and integrity at all times

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN A SECURITY ROLE

• Strong awareness and decision-making under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility – availability at short notice, including weekends and night shifts
