In this role, you will help protect employees, visitors, and site assets by following assignment instructions and maintaining the highest standards of integrity, vigilance, and helpfulness. The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring the safe and secure day-to-day operations of a busy site environment🛡️ As a Relief Security Officer, your key responsibilities include monitoring CCTV, fire, and intruder alarm systems, conducting both internal and external patrols, and preventing unauthorised access to the premises. You will also assist with traffic management and parking enforcement, carry out routine checks of security equipment, and manage key holding duties including locking and unlocking facilities. That includes: Welcoming and assisting staff, visitors, and contractors, ensuring everyone feels supported and follows site procedures. Conducting regular safety and security patrols, maintaining vigilance across buildings, perimeters, and restricted areas. Ensuring compliance with regulations, site-specific processes, and security protocols, adapting quickly to different environments and expectations. Supporting emergency protocols, including evacuations, searches, incident responses, and liaising with emergency services when required. Identifying, reporting, and helping prevent security risks, disruptions, or suspicious activity through proactive awareness and accurate communication. Maintaining clear and detailed records, including incident logs, access reports, and thorough handovers to ensure continuity across shifts.
