Security experience 2+ Years (preferred) SIA licence 18+ Full UK driving licence The Relief Security Officer provides security services across multiple sites as needed, ensuring the protection of people, property, and assets. The role requires an SIA licence and involves maintaining high standards of integrity, vigilance, and helpfulness. Officers must be flexible and ready to cover shifts at short notice. Job Description Responsibilities You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. In this role, you will support the Protection of Property & Premises by controlling access, monitoring alarms and CCTV, preventing unauthorised entry, carrying out internal and external patrols, reporting safety or security hazards, managing keys, responding to incidents, and following all Assignment Instructions. You will also uphold Health & Safety standards by promoting safe working practices, reporting hazards and near misses, completing accident reports, and ensuring first aid equipment and emergency procedures are properly maintained. To help Prevent Loss, Waste & Crime, you will report any lost, damaged, or stolen property, operate radios, pagers, and other security equipment, conduct stop/search procedures when required, and record any suspicious activities. Providing excellent Customer Service is essential, ensuring staff and visitors are well supported while maintaining high standards of appearance and professionalism. Additional responsibilities include completing all logs and reports accurately, following company policies and management instructions, and consistently representing the Securitas values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness. Good communication, customer service skills, and ability to work independently or in a team. Valid UK driving licence and vehicle desirable. Previous security officer experience.
