GRAFENWOEHR - JOB DESCRIPTION

Metrics LLC is seeking a proactive and organized Relocation Readiness Assistant to support Army Community Service (ACS) at USAG Germany - Grafenwoehr. This position is integral to delivering comprehensive relocation support to Soldiers, DoD civilians, retirees, and their families. The Relocation Readiness Assistant will be responsible for managing the ACS Lending Closet, maintaining detailed records, and facilitating the seamless integration of incoming and outgoing community members.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be eligible to work in Germany and able to obtain all required background checks.
  • High school diploma required; Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in information & referral, relocation, or customer service; OR in lieu of a degree, at least three (3) years of related customer service experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; familiarity with SharePoint preferred.
  • Excellent customer service, organization, and records management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. (Italian language skills a plus.)
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Must be proactive, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to complete mandatory training: Anti-Terrorism (AT) Level I, OPSEC, iWATCH, Cyber Awareness, and Threat Awareness/Reporting as required by contract.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working with military families or in a government/military support environment.
  • Knowledge of Army Community Service (ACS) relocation programs, EFMP, and military transition services.
  • Familiarity with US Army Europe/Germany installation processes and community resources.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a full range of ongoing and specialized relocation services to military personnel, DoD civilians, retirees, and their families as outlined by ACS Relocation Readiness Program.
  • Support incoming and outgoing members by providing accurate information on relocation resources, community agencies, and integration programs.
  • Manage and maintain the ACS Lending Closet:
  • Maintain accurate inventory of loaned household goods.
  • Track items lent and returned; initiate follow-up on overdue returns; coordinate replacement item lists.
  • Generate weekly overdue reports and contact customers for item return or replacement.
  • Prepare welcome packets and community resource information for new arrivals/sponsors.
  • Retain customer agreements in compliance with recordkeeping policy and securely destroy after six months post-return.
  • Maintain accurate records and statistics:
  • Log all client interactions and services in the Client Tracking System (CTS).
  • Archive CTS usage and prepare monthly reports by the required deadline.
  • Generate daily or as-needed reports for the Relocation Readiness Program Manager.
  • Perform general administrative and office support:
  • Copy and set up class/event materials.
  • Maintain class sign-up and attendance rosters and training documentation.
  • Coordinate scheduling and set up for ACS classes, briefings, and special events.
  • Verify and update local agency information for resource displays and messaging systems.
  • Adapt to changes in support hours according to ACS operating schedules, including closures for holidays, emergencies, or administrative reasons.
  • Ensure compliance with all security and background check requirements as specified for USAG Germany.
  • Maintain all documents, statistics, and records in accordance with Army regulations and directives.
