Description
Site Supervisor / Leading Hand– Remedial (SA) Shape the Future of Infrastructure with Freyssinet Freyssinet Australia is at the forefront of engineering innovation, delivering world-class solutions in remediation, civil engineering, and structural strengthening. With a strong pipeline of upcoming infrastructure remediation projects, we have created a new opportunity for a Site Supervisor to join our Remedial Division in Adelaide. This role is a chance to be part of a company known for its cutting-edge techniques, advanced materials, and commitment to sustainability, working on major projects that extend the lifespan of vital infrastructure. About the Role As a Site Supervisor, you will oversee the delivery of remedial and strengthening works across a range of remediation and repair projects, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. You will manage site teams and subcontractors, coordinate project execution, and play a key role in maintaining the structural integrity of bridges, buildings, marine structures, and industrial facilities. Frequent working away from Adelaide will be required due to the location of projects. Due to the small size of our SA team, we're looking for someone who is happy to be hands-on when needed — stepping in as a Supervisor/Leading Hand and getting on the tools to support the team where necessary. Key Responsibilities · Lead by example, fostering a strong safety-first culture. · Develop and implement QSE plans, work procedures, and SWMS with project engineers. · Manage subcontractors and internal site teams to ensure high-quality project execution. · Plan and coordinate labour, plant, equipment, and materials to meet program and budget targets. · Train site personnel and enforce compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. · Conduct and document safety prestarts and site inspections. · Monitor site productivity, identify areas for improvement, and drive efficiency. · Manage site variations and delays, working closely with project engineers. · Build and maintain strong client relationships, contributing to future project opportunities. · Be prepared to work hands-on and jump on the tools as required to support site activities. What We’re Looking For · Proven experience (5+ years) as a Site Supervisor, Foreman, or Leading Hand in remedial or civil construction. · Expertise in concrete repairs, structural strengthening, or blast and paint/protective coatings. · Experience with shotcrete or hydro-demolition (advantageous). · Ability to run site operations autonomously as a main contractor. · Strong subcontractor management and leadership skills. · Proficiency in reading and interpreting structural and architectural drawings. · Strong communication skills, including the ability to conduct toolbox talks. · Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and site management software. · Trade qualification (preferred but not essential). · Willingness to work away from home regularly for regional projects. Why Join Freyssinet? Freyssinet is a global leader in structural engineering, known for its innovative solutions in construction, remediation, and post-tensioning. We push the boundaries of engineering excellence, ensuring the longevity and resilience of critical infrastructure. Work on complex, high-profile projects across South Australia and beyond.
