Who you are: * High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required * Have some Technical Schooling and/or background preferred * Minimum of one-year experience building construction, maintenance, or general labor services * Knowledge of equipment used in construction or other related work * Skilled in establishing and maintaining good working relationships with others * Able to learn simple tasks * Able to operate hand and power tools * Able to lift and carry equipment or materials applicable to the assigned work * Able to understand oral and written instructions * Able to read and follow blueprints and diagrams Summary: The Renovation Technician is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the renovations department. Conducting under supervisor direction, construction-related tasks such as carpentry, drywall installation, tape bedding, texturing, painting, and form setting. Essential Job Duties: * Remodel / Unit Turnover * Assists with apartment turnover. * Supports unit renovations through demo, framing, minor repairs, trim work, hauling/cleanup, and general jobsite assistance. * May operate company truck for the purpose of transporting workers, construction materials, and light equipment * Performs general maintenance duties, such as: carpentry, drywall installation, tape bedding, texturing, painting, and form setting * Completes assigned work orders daily according to work order system policy * Performs minor building and equipment repairs * Maintains all tools, equipment and supplies in proper condition * Accomplishes work in the order of priority set by supervisor * Assists, during winter, with snow removal efforts * Performs daily tasks in a safe and workman-like manner in accordance with company policies * Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor HOSPITALITY FOCUS: Carillon Senior Living fully embraces a culture of hospitality.
