For this remote contractor role, you will work on one of our client projects, partnering with their team to generate awareness for their brand, world-class website, visitors, and users. We're looking for an AEM Project Manager who will serve as the Scrum Master for a full-stack scrum team (a cross-functional website delivery pod coordinating design, content lifecycle, and engineering). In this role, you'll partner closely with our Web Leaders to translate web priorities and ideas into clear, actionable work for the team driving alignment and execution from intake and planning through build, and release. You'll run scrum ceremonies, manage timelines and dependencies, remove blockers, and keep stakeholders informed of your progress. You’ll work closely with product managers, digital marketers, web designers, and engineers to execute priority projects. If you are passionate about the continuous drive for improvement in performance and quality while delivering compelling creativity and messaging, then we encourage you to apply and show us your unique skill set! For this specific job post, we can only accept candidates who reside and are eligible to work in the US, Canada, and Colombia as contractors. Proficiency in Adobe Experience Manager. Proven experience running Scrum ceremonies and improving team flow. Proficiency with Agile workflows and Jira. Knowledge of SEO, web analytics, and content strategy. Ability to manage stakeholder communication and digital marketing objectives. Comfort managing ambiguity, dependencies, and cross-functional coordination (UX/UI, content, engineering, authoring). Hands-on knowledge of online content management for various devices. Strong stakeholder management skills; translating business needs into executable delivery plans. Strong written and verbal communication, experienced with status reporting and risk management Ability to understand dynamic enterprise workflows and processes quickly. Availability to overlap at least 4 hours with the US PDT time zone working hours. Fluent and efficient communication skills in English are necessary for direct communication with clients and across different departments. Location: open to candidates in Canada, Colombia, and the US, with flexibility on specific locations. For US applicants, the ability to work as an independent contractor under an LLC, C-Corp, or S-Corp. Nice to have: Experience with B2B tech company websites. Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders. The projected salary range for this position is from $47 to $57/hr, determined by the candidate’s interview outcome, skills, experience, education, and alignment with market data. Responsibilities: Scrum leadership & agile delivery: Facilitate all core ceremonies (standups, planning, refinement, reviews/demos, retros). Protect and maintain a consistent sprint cadence. Ensure sprint work meets “Ready” standards (clear requirements, acceptance criteria, Definition of Done). Drive continuous improvement with actionable retro outcomes and follow-through. Project Brief → Planning → Execution: Collaborate with the Workstream and Delivery Leads to turn Project Brief priorities into a clear delivery plan. Work with Delivery Lead to break PRDs into sprint-ready, refined stories that will be executed upon for the quarter. Backlog & Jira ownership (source of truth): Create/manage the work hierarchy (Initiatives/Epics/Stories as agreed). Maintain Jira hygiene (accurate statuses, clean board, up-to-date priorities). Ensure Jira reflects reality for active and upcoming work, including delivery notes, risks, and dependencies. Dependency, risk & blocker management: Identify and remove blockers. Track cross-team dependencies (e.g. engineering, UX/UI, content, authoring). Surface risks, trade-offs, and decision points early; escalate when needed. Stakeholder alignment & communication: Keep stakeholders informed with clear, regular updates on sprint progress, milestones, scope changes, risks/issues, and decisions. Facilitate working sessions/workshops that move work from “idea” to “ready to build.” Escalate priority conflicts to PgM/Workstream/Delivery leadership for resolution. Documentation & delivery visibility: Maintain organized project documentation (Project Brief, PRDs, transcripts, notes, etc.) in the agreed knowledge base. Provide lightweight reporting on delivery health (e.g., throughput/velocity, cycle time) to support planning and forecasting. Team coordination & operating model adoption: Coordinate cross-functional needs and promote effective ways of working across the Pod. Partner with the Program Manager to help the team adopt consistent processes, roles, and reporting in the new operating model. Coordinate with designers, copywriters, content authors, developers, and marketing teams to execute campaigns and projects. Manage web content production and publishing schedules in AEM ensuring on-time delivery. Maintain delivery forecasts and adjust plans as scope, capacity, or priority shifts - ensuring decisions are transparent and documented. Handling third-party integrations, SEO optimization, and tracking implementation. Working with developers to enhance AEM’s front-end experience.
