JOB OVERVIEW

Exodata is seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer with in depth experience in working in both green field environments as well as working in existing environments.
The Azure Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure. This role will focus on setting up and maintaining a secure, reliable, and scalable Azure tenant, migrating on-premises applications to the cloud, and establishing monitoring and automation for long-term operational excellence.
You must be located in CST or MST time zones to apply to this role.

SKILLS

  • Experience: Proven background in architecting, deploying, and managing Azure solutions in enterprise environments.
  • Skills: Deep expertise with Azure services, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred), automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with distributed teams.

    Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Azure Tenant Setup & Management Configure and manage new Azure cloud tenants, ensuring proper structure, scalability, and security to meet organizational requirements.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Write and maintain Terraform scripts to automate provisioning, updates, and lifecycle management of Azure resources.
  • Application Modernization Re-architect on-premises applications into cloud-native designs, leveraging containerization, microservices, and serverless platforms.
  • Automation & Orchestration Develop and maintain Azure Logic Apps and Function Apps to streamline workflows and integrate business processes.
  • Monitoring & Reliability Implement Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, and alerting dashboards to track performance, availability, and security across all environments.
  • CI/CD & DevOps Practices Build and maintain GitHub Actions pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments, ensuring automated and consistent delivery.
  • API & Integration Management Design and manage Azure API Management (APIM), Application Gateway, and API security patterns for enterprise services.
  • Security & Compliance Oversee Key Vaults, service principals, and other critical services. Implement security controls and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, code scanning).
  • Optimization & Cost Control Monitor usage, optimize costs, and implement scaling strategies. Develop automation to right-size infrastructure and maintain efficiency.
  • Collaboration & Support Partner with Exodata consultants, development teams, and client stakeholders to ensure smooth migrations, integrations, and ongoing support.
  • Troubleshooting & Documentation Identify and resolve infrastructure and performance issues promptly. Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of all designs and processes.
