On behalf of a leading Norwegian energy company, we are looking for a Backend Developer to join a cutting-edge real-time electric vehicle charging project. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining systems that interact with EV charging stations and external partners in real time.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a consultant with most of the following skills:

• Strong experience in Node.js and TypeScript
• Deep understanding of WebSockets, real-time APIs, and event-driven systems
• Experience with Google Cloud Services
• Confidence working with OCPP and OCPI protocols
• Ability to write and maintain clean, well-documented APIs
• Experience in monitoring and debugging production systems

• Develop and maintain robust, secure, and scalable APIs
• Work with WebSocket communication and protocols like OCPP and OCPI
• Integrate external partners and manage communication with charging stations
• Manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GKE, BigQuery, Redis, Firebase, etc.)
• Monitor and debug production systems using structured logging and performance tools
