POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are looking for an experienced and personable Bookkeeper to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing bookkeeping for multiple clients and thrive in a client-facing role. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring our clients receive exceptional service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping, particularly in managing multiple client accounts.
  • Proven experience in payroll processing.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and spreadsheet software.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and compliance with industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while staying connected with the team.
  • Enjoys interacting with clients and providing exceptional service.
  • Experience with Real Estate clients & Small business/Investment bookkeeping a plus!

Responsibilities
  • Managing and maintaining financial records for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Reconciling bank statements and preparing financial reports for clients.
  • Communicating directly with clients to understand their needs, address questions, and offer financial insights.
  • Onboarding and setting up bookkeeping accounts in QuickBooks Online.
  • Assisting with clean-up of client accounts.
  • Collaborating & Managing clients with a supporting team of junior bookkeepers to provide top-tier client service.
  • Onboarding and setting up payroll accounts for clients.
  • Providing support to payroll processor.
  • Monitoring payee/vendor transactions and processing 1099 forms at year-end.
  • Assisting with tax preparation and compliance tasks as needed.
  • Able to enter adjusting journal entries.
