Job Title: Compliance Underwriter – Mortgage Industry Location: Remote (EST hours) Pay: $24 – $31 per hour (Hourly + Overtime Eligible) Schedule: Flexible start between 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM EST | 8-hour shifts | Overtime and weekends as needed About the Role We are seeking a Compliance Underwriter with strong experience in residential mortgage compliance and document review. This role focuses on performing compliance reviews within TRID 3.0 and TRID 1.0 scopes to ensure adherence to federal and state regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for compliance underwriting, due diligence, portfolio analysis, and compliance review projects. Key Responsibilities Review and capture loan data from mortgage documents, including Mortgage, Note, Right of Rescission, Loan Estimate, Closing Disclosure, Good Faith Estimate, 1003, appraisal, etc. Review HUD-1, Closing Disclosures, Loan Estimates, TIL, and other mortgage disclosures for completeness and accuracy. Analyze and capture settlement fees for state and federal testing. Identify compliance irregularities within loan files and underwriting processes. Evaluate disclosure processes, including delivery, timing, required verbiage, execution, and completeness of all State and Federal documentation. Manage individual workflow to meet daily volume and quality goals. Must-Have Qualifications 1–3 years of experience in any area of the residential mortgage industry with familiarity in mortgage origination documents. 1+ year of mortgage experience required. Experience reviewing notes, mortgages, applications, appraisals, titles, and closing documents. Strong understanding of fees and compliance requirements. TRID loan review experience (post-2015), including TRID documents and testing. Ability to work long hours, including overtime and weekends when needed. Preferred Qualifications 1+ year of compliance review experience. Prior experience performing compliance reviews or working with competitors in similar roles. Why Join Us? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $64480.00/yr.
