In this strategic leadership role, you will collaborate with senior management and the Board of Directors to address legal and compliance issues, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy. Your proactive approach will support the venture's legal needs across business units while guiding the organization in risk management and adherence to legal standards. This role is crucial in fostering a culture of collaboration, compliance, and ethical decision-making across the diverse functional aspects of the company. \n Accountabilities Collaborate with executive leadership and the Board on legal and risk management issues. Oversee strategic legal frameworks and mitigate legal exposure. Advise staff on work-related legal and ethical issues. Develop and implement compliance training and policies across departments. Manage Legal Department operations, including attorneys and external counsel. Ensure efficiency in legal budget management and reporting. Negotiate and review various commercial contracts and transactions. Guide corporate governance strategies and enhance Board operations. Requirements J.D. from an ABA accredited law school. Minimum of 15 years of relevant legal experience. Active membership in a state Bar Association. Extensive experience in Mergers and Acquisitions. Strong background in commercial contracting and negotiations. Experience in managing legal teams and outside counsel. Effective team building and mediation skills.
