We are seeking a detail-oriented Remote Healthcare Virtual Assistant to support our clinical and administrative teams. This role is ideal for someone with experience working within U.S. healthcare systems who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys helping improve patient access to care. Position Summary This position provides remote administrative and operational support to a busy orthopedic practice. The role involves managing patient communications, supporting clinical workflows, and assisting with insurance and documentation processes to help ensure patients receive timely care. Responsibilities • Convert patient voicemails into telephone encounters and route appropriately • Monitor and respond to incoming inbox messages • Assist with FMLA and disability paperwork coordination • Support patient intake coordination and intake management • Assist with prior authorizations and insurance documentation • Enter and manage information within the electronic health record (EHR) • Scribing into electronic health record (EHR) • Communicate with internal clinical and administrative teams to resolve patient needs • Maintain professionalism, accuracy, and confidentiality at all times • Support a high-volume healthcare environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience • Minimum 2 years experience working with U.S. healthcare systems • Experience with medical administrative tasks such as prior authorizations, inbox management, or intake coordination • Experience using EHR/EMR systems (Epic experience preferred) • Experience communicating with patients or clinical staff Skills • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities • High attention to detail • Ability to work independently in a remote environment • Reliable internet connection and quiet work environment Preferred Background Candidates with one of the following are highly preferred: • Registered Nurse (RN) • Pharmacy background • Medical administrative experience supporting U.S. healthcare practices Schedule • Ability to support U.S. clinic hours Flexible schedule Paid time off
