In this role, you will act as a vital legal advisor for the StreetEasy and New Construction business lines, providing essential guidance throughout the product development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will embody quick responsiveness and collaborative spirit in a dynamic legal team. You will tackle a variety of legal matters, ensuring compliance with real estate regulations and fostering relationships across diverse teams. Your expertise will significantly impact the success of innovative product offerings in real estate tech, while you navigate the complexities of marketing, licensing, and regulatory frameworks. \n Accountabilities Serve as legal point of contact and subject matter expert for StreetEasy and New Construction business lines. Provide tactical legal counsel for special projects and other key initiatives. Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve novel legal matters. Analyze legislative changes impacting assigned products. Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements for strategic partnerships. Collaborate closely with internal partners including product attorneys and compliance teams. Requirements 7+ years of relevant experience in a law firm or in-house legal department, preferably in tech. Juris Doctor (JD) with active state bar admission. Experience with licensing, marketing, intellectual property, and commercial agreements. Familiarity with real estate regulatory frameworks and New York real estate market preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills with a goal-oriented approach. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Outstanding attention to detail and strong drafting and negotiation abilities. Project-management skills with the ability to drive clarity from ambiguity. Team-oriented behavior with collaboration capabilities across various departments.
