JOB TITLE: Remote Payroll Admin
JOB TYPE: Full-Time Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM PDT
COMPENSATION: $6.50 - $7.00/hour

Job description:
The Payroll Specialist works in support of our Admin team to execute timely payroll processing, maintaining payroll records, handling employee attendance data and commission calculations.
The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to accuracy and confidentiality. A positive mindset and a service-oriented attitude are essential. Experience with payroll systems and basic HR processes is preferred.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is often
  • 2–3 years of payroll or accounting experience.
  • Excellent English Communication Skills
  • Familiarity with payroll systems such as QuickBooks Online is advantageous.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with employees and management.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Bilingual Spanish speaker is BIG advantage

Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly payroll for all employees accurately and on time
  • Review and verify timesheets, attendance records, and hours worked
  • Maintain payroll records and employee data in the payroll system
  • Handle wage garnishments, deductions, and benefit withholdings
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Coordinate with HR on new hires, terminations, and changes in employee status
  • Prepare payroll reports
  • Assist with year-end processing
  • Support audits and ensure all payroll documentation is properly filed and maintained
  • Maintain confidentiality of payroll and personnel information at all times
  • Other tasks assigned by the management
