We are currently seeking an experienced Remote-Software Product Owner to join our cross-functional Agile team leading product strategy and delivery for the Acquisition Management System (AMS) tool suite. Our team operates in a Kanban-based Agile environment with a focus on continuous delivery, rapid feedback loops and high-availability deployments. The ideal candidate will have a proactive mindset, strong critical thinking skills and the ability to independently develop solutions to complex and evolving problems.

Duties:

  • Own and manage the product backlog for a suite of integrated acquisition web tools supporting customers across the Department of Defense.
  • Capture and translate requirements into clearly defined epics, features, and user stories.
  • Maintain a clear product roadmap, balancing short-term deliverables with the overall long-term strategic vision.
  • Lead and facilitate backlog refinement, prioritization, planning and delivery tracking.
  • Work side-by-side with developers, UI/UX, technical leads and QA teams to ensure production-ready releases are verified, logged and validated.
  • Serve as the primary intermediary between the stakeholders and the development team throughout a project’s life cycle, from concept to production.
  • Engage directly with stakeholders and end users to gather feedback and ensure solutions meet mission requirements.
  • Lead product demonstrations to ensure stakeholder alignment on feature delivery and priority.
  • Proactively identify problems, risks and opportunities across the tool suite.
  • Drive a culture of ownership, continuous improvement and mission focus

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least four (4) years of overall experience in project management support. At least two (2) years of this experience must be in writing software requirements which includes at least one (1) yearof experience in an agile software development environment leveraging SharePoint 2013 and Dot.Net as well as one (1) year of experience in Team Foundation Server (TFS). (Note: All experience may be concurrent).

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • BA/BS degree.

MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN AND MAINTAIN A SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE. DUE TO THE SENSITIVITY OF CUSTOMER-RELATED REQUIREMENTS, U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED.
