Description

Cole Packaging is seeking a Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in implementing innovative packaging solutions for diverse product ranges. The ideal candidate should be self-driven, have a passion for working with mechanical systems, and possess expertise in intricate problem-solving. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate a customer-centric approach in managing all job responsibilities.
The role encompasses various responsibilities such as managing consumables, implementing automation, and adopting a solution-oriented approach to ensure a smooth project life cycle. The candidate will participate in drafting scope of work, preparing technical documentation, validating drawings, creating installation guidelines, and overseeing projects from initiation to completion. Additionally, they may be required to contribute to cost analysis and budgeting activities for projects.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or relevant professional experience in Project Management.
  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant technical experience is necessary.

ESSENTIAL PREREQUISITES IN TERMS OF KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Experienced in Project Management
  • Experienced and skilled in packaging systems for the food industry, with a fundamental understanding of equipment installation practices and standards.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in designing, operating, installing, and initiating packaging systems, encompassing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), layout optimization, ergonomics, equipment safety, and familiarity with typical packaging materials utilized in the food packaging sector.
  • Capability to engage in cross-functional teams for diagnosing root causes, offering various options, and providing resolutions.
  • Capability and willingness to collaborate in a team setting with minimal supervision.
  • Robust leadership and interpersonal abilities, coupled with a proven readiness to embrace new and challenging tasks.
  • Experience in 3D CAD software.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication capabilities, coupled with proficient PC skills.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee every stage of project management, from conception to achieving tangible outcomes.
  • Direct the implementation of projects from design and development to the installation of new equipment, collaborating closely with vendors and clients.
  • Create technical documentation and specifications, encompassing system layout drawings, procedures, and manuals.
  • Supervise the testing and validation of equipment systems to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. This will include FAT & SAT.
  • Collaborate with our vendors to address and resolve any mechanical issues or failures in packaging systems, delivering prompt and efficient solutions.
  • Take part in the cost analysis and budgeting procedures for projects.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with personnel at all organizational levels, delivering technical information and project updates to key stakeholders.
  • Consistently assess and enhance processes and procedures associated with project management to boost efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Expectation of travel ranging from 40% to 50% depending on project workload. Remote position for lower 48 states.
