Job Description:

Responsibilities

THE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE WILL INVOLVE THE FOLLOWING:

  • To provide high-quality therapeutic care, which demonstrates excellent clinical outcomes.
  • To deliver comprehensive assessments and formulations that drive evidence-based intervention.
  • To ensure a thorough assessment determines the most appropriate pathway of care and support for the client.
  • To provide different models of service delivery including telephone or video consultation, depending on client preference.
  • To adhere to Bupa’s case management processes and work collaboratively with the Clinical Leads and wider therapy team.
  • To adhere to sessional limits depending on the client’s monetary allowance as determined by their Private Medical Insurance, whilst working towards therapeutic recovery goals.
  • To provide signposting or onwards referral as and when required.
  • To provide ad-hoc or one-off wellbeing support and coaching as and when required.
  • To provide one-off assessments and referral recommendations, when required.
  • To work at a client level to provide group psychoeducation, raising awareness of mental health and wellbeing, promotion of mental wellbeing guidance via remote presentation, workshop events and training as and when required.
  • To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of Bupa’s service policies and procedures.
  • To attend regular clinical supervision, via individual and group provision, and monthly team meetings to support clinical practice, in line with BUPA and the practitioner’s professional body guidelines.
  • To work with the operational and clinical team to identify ways to improve client and employee experiences.

KEY SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED FOR THIS ROLE:

  • Professional doctorate qualification in Clinical/Counselling Psychology as accredited by the British Psychological Society.
  • Health and Care Professions Council registration as a qualified Chartered Clinical/Counselling Psychologist.
  • Adult experience as a Chartered Clinical/Counselling Psychologist is necessary.
  • Additional Children’s Clinical Psychologist experience is desirable.
  • At least 1 year’s post-qualification clinical experience.
