Description
As a Remote Sensing Scientist with MTSI, you will be responsible for researching and developing techniques and technologies related to remote sensing. You will adapt existing systems and architectures to exploit emerging AI/ML and automation technologies. This position will be located in the Washington, DC area. Responsibilities: Your essential job functions will include, but may not be limited to: Architect, specify, model, and simulate remote sensing systems and data exploitation technologies. Conduct experiments, investigations, observations, and related research studies into the nature and operation of natural phenomena using the scientific method Develop theories for understanding, characterizing, and exploiting natural phenomena for the benefit of project advancement and emerging technologies. Write code implementing remote sensing algorithms and assess and compare algorithm performance against new and existing metrics. Qualifications: Required: A minimum of 18 years of experience in a related field Experience developing remote sensing capabilities, including exploitation techniques for EO, IR, or spectral data. Experience with machine learning approaches and algorithms. Desired: Prior successes in developing, fielding, and testing similar remote sensing capabilities. Educational Requirements : Master’s degree in a related field 4 years of experience plus a bachelor’s degree is accepted in place of a degree. Clearance Requirements : Active Top Secret clearance with SCI Eligibility and willingness to submit to a polygraph U.S. Citizenship is required for this position. #LI-AC1 #LI-Onsite
