In this role, you will play a critical part in leading the development of our authentication and authorization platform. You’ll oversee a talented team, ensuring they produce high-quality solutions that enhance user experience and security. By aligning technical goals with business objectives, you help establish trust and efficiency across our systems, making a significant impact on our operational effectiveness. \n Accountabilities Define authorization for AI workflows and design authentication for non-human actors. Evolve the identity layer in Auth0 to enhance authentication and token issuance. Maintain and mature the Relationship-Based Access Control (ReBAC) OpenFGA model. Drive large-scale technical projects across multiple teams and systems. Mentor team members, promoting collaboration and high standards. Take ownership of team deliverables and drive projects from ideation to production. Proactively identify risks and blockers in project planning and execution. Foster a positive culture and embody core company principles. Lead, mentor, and support team growth through regular meetings and feedback. Partner with recruiting to define hiring criteria and onboard new team members. Requirements Minimum of 8 years of professional engineering experience, with leadership or management experience. At least 3 years in engineering management, including team development. Deep knowledge of OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect. Hands-on experience with ReBAC systems like OpenFGA. Familiarity with identity providers such as Auth0, Okta, or Azure AD. Proficiency in backend languages (Java, Ruby, or Python) and web frameworks (Spring Boot, Rails, or Django). Experience with AI coding tools in the development workflow. Strong collaboration and decision-making abilities focused on equity and learning.
