OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a committed and detail-oriented Special Education Case Manager to join our team in Barre, VT for the 2025-2026 school year. This full-time position offers the opportunity to manage and support Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) while collaborating closely with teachers, families, and service providers to ensure compliance and promote student success in an inclusive learning environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid Vermont teaching license with a special education endorsement (or eligibility for licensure).
  • Previous case management experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage multiple priorities.
Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of students with IEPs, ensuring adherence to state and federal special education regulations.
  • Coordinate and facilitate IEP meetings with parents, educators, and related service professionals.
  • Monitor student progress and collaborate with instructional teams to adjust services as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely special education records and documentation.
  • Provide support, resources, and guidance to instructional staff to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student services and progress.
  • Participate in professional development to stay current with best practices in special education.
