OTHER PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS/SKILLS NEEDED:

• Identify process improvement opportunities and assist in developing policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Strong knowledge of FDA REMS requirements and risk management practices.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple complex programs simultaneously.
• Proficiency in EHR systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and REMS portals.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing (RN preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years in a healthcare setting, preferably in oncology, drug safety, or regulatory compliance.
• Prior experience with REMS programs is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position may require that the employee be able to sit for extended periods of time and be able to look at a computer screen for multiple hours.

JOB PURPOSE

The REMS (Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategies) Drugs Coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance with FDA (Food and Drug Administration) mandated REMS programs for specific high-risk medications. This position serves as the primary liaison between healthcare providers, pharmacies, patients, and drug manufacturers to support safe medication use, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain required documentation.
