We have a 9-month fixed-term opportunity fora Remuneration Consultant to join our People Unit atUTS, to provide remuneration guidance and support to managers and staff across UTS. In this role you will assist People Unit Business Partners and their client groups with comprehensive remuneration insights, providing expert advice and data analysis to attract and retain talent.

About the Role Utilising your understanding of the Remuneration Strategy, policies, and procedures, you will guide People Consultants, Recruitment Advisors, and relevant managers in navigating both standard and non-standard remuneration elements. From supporting annual performance and remuneration processes to conducting regular audits for compliance with employment contracts and industry standards, you will ensure all remuneration and benefits, base salaries, superannuation, allowances, and incremental rate increases, are accurately applied. You will conduct benchmarking and specialised market analysis, aligned with industry and university sector standards, to drive effective compensation decisions. About You The successful candidate will have experience in remuneration and reward with a focus on consulting or advisory roles. Contributing to the successful operation of the Remuneration and Benefits team, you will have a sound understanding of remuneration principles and best practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to create detailed reports and complex documentation on remuneration practices, and provide comprehensive consultancy services on issues like performance reviews, recruitment, job evaluations, and change management within large, complex organizations. Experience working collaboratively to achieve HR strategic goals is essential, along with advanced proficiency in HR systems and MS Office. Other requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
  • Solid understanding and experience in job evaluation process
  • HAY job evaluation certification preferred.

WHAT WE OFFERBase Salary Range: $105,814 to $117,057 pa (HEW 7) plus 17% superannuation (pension) This position is full time role and will be made on a 9 month fixed-term basis.
