We are on the lookout for: Job vacancy: Remuneration Specialist The Remuneration Specialist, reporting to the Remuneration Team Leader, is responsible for processing, verifying, and reconciling all aspects of monthly payroll (earnings, deductions, benefits & costings) to enable payment of salaries within agreed timeframe for MCB Group, MCB Pensioners and for Overseas Bank Subsidiaries. In this role you will: • Provide timely and accurate information to BU Managers on variance, budgets, overtime analysis etc. and of the different remuneration items within agreed timeframe; • Address queries of both internal and external customers to deliver quality service within agreed deadline; • Prepare report relating to PAYE and social security costs for payment to regulatory bodies; • Provide input on payroll processes pertaining to non-routine cases; • Assist the team leader in finding solutions pertaining to non-routine issues to ensure proper delivery of payroll; • Verify information worked out by team members to ensure accuracy of data in system and analysis submitted to all stakeholders; • Verify that the GL accounts balance tally with the items processed in the monthly payroll, investigate and take corrective measures for any discrepancy noted; • Investigate any discrepancy noted and ensure that corrective actions are effected to provide timely and accurate information to concerned parties; • Perform reconciliation of salaries, statutory contributions, and pension contributions within agreed timeframe to ensure accurate information are uploaded on the system for payroll calculation; • Provide statistical information analysis for matters pertaining to Remuneration & Reward for decision making purposes by the relevant party; • Provide a comprehensive list of reports on payroll metrics (overtime overruns, late arrivals, clock in/out); • Prepare statistical information and analysis of payroll metrics that will help the business in taking sound people management decisions; • Register newly created entities with relevant bodies (MRA, NPS, etc..) and create new payroll on HR system to ensure smooth implementation of changes in the Group's structure; • Administer the payment of emoluments to Group employees to ensure that salaries, overtime, bonuses, allowances, and deductions, etc. are processed in a timely and accurate manner; • Keep abreast of latest changes/developments in legislation which will impact the payment of salaries and liaise with concerned parties to ensure that the system is updated accordingly and share knowledge with colleagues. We are looking for a candidate who preferably has: Either • A Degree in Human Resources/Management/Accounting/Finance; • At least 3 years of working experience in a Payroll function in Human Resources/Accounting/Finance. Or • At least 5 years of working experience in a Payroll function in Human Resources/Accounting/Finance. A combination of both qualifications & experience will be considered.
