Description

SOCIAL HOUSING PROVIDER

We’re looking for a motivated Renewables Engineer (Service & Repair) to join our team supporting social housing residents across Shropshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in plumbing, heating, or property maintenance who wants to build their skills in the fast-growing renewables sector.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist with the service, repair, and maintenance of renewable systems, including heat pumps, solar thermal/PV, and hot water systems.
  • Diagnose and help resolve faults under guidance, with training provided.
  • Ensure all works are carried out safely, professionally, and with care for our tenants.
  • Keep clear and accurate records of work completed.

What we’re looking for:

  • Some experience in plumbing, heating, or property maintenance – but full training will be given.
  • Enthusiasm to learn and upskill in renewable technologies.
  • Unvented hot water and solar qualifications are desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.

What we offer:

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Comprehensive training and development programme to support your career in renewables.
  • Company vehicle, tools, and uniform.
  • A secure, rewarding role within a respected social housing provider, making a real difference in our communities.

If you’re keen to develop a career in renewables and want to be part of a forward-thinking housing company, we’d love to hear from you.
