REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors Degree or College Diploma
  • Fully bilingual (French/English): The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec.
  • Knowledge of underwriting concepts
  • Understanding of trends in group benefits industry
  • Understanding of group benefits, related services, associated systems and processes an asset
  • Strong negotiation and conflict management skills
  • Time management skills -ability to multi-task but also be quick and accurate
  • Good knowledge of group life and health products and underwriting

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong math skills
  • Excellent PC skills (MS Office and Lotus)
  • Must be able to work effectively under pressure and continue to prioritize workload
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to be flexible and empathetic
  • Be a team player and willing to assist where needed
Responsibilities
  • Prepares, manages and negotiates the renewals of all groups under 50 lives
  • Suggest plan design options to meet the clients needs
  • Support the Account Executives in building and maintaining successful client relationships
  • Understand the intricacies and complexities of each Plan Sponsor’s group benefit designs
