Betz Pools Limited Location: Stouffville, Ontario (daily reporting location) Work Area: Greater Toronto Area and Southern Ontario Position Type: Full-Time Seasonal with Opportunity for Year-Round Employment Compensation: $35.00 – $38.00 per hour, based on experience   Position Background Betz Pools Limited is an established leader in swimming pool construction, renovation, and service throughout Ontario. We are seeking an experienced Pool Installation and Service Professional to join our Pool Renovation Division.   This position focuses on hands-on installation, repair, and servicing of residential and commercial swimming pool systems, including mechanical equipment, plumbing systems, and prefabricated pool components.   The role involves completing assigned work orders as part of a project team in accordance with company standards, safety procedures, and installation specifications.   Position Summary The Junior Renovation Foreman performs hands-on skilled work related to the installation, repair, servicing, and maintenance of swimming pool systems and equipment.   The position requires strong technical knowledge of pool systems and the ability to carry out installation and repair tasks efficiently in residential and commercial environments.   Working Hours Monday to Friday 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM (typical schedule) Reporting daily to company yard in Stouffville Reliable transportation required   Key Responsibilities Pool Installation, Repair & Service Read and interpret work orders, drawings, and installation specifications. Measure and prepare areas for installation of pool systems and components. Install, repair, and maintain swimming pool plumbing systems (above-ground and underground). Install and replace vinyl liners and prefabricated pool components. Install, service, and repair pool equipment including pumps, filters, heaters, and circulation systems. Perform troubleshooting and repair of pool mechanical and plumbing systems. Conduct leak detection and pressure testing of pool systems. Perform seasonal opening and closing of swimming pools. Perform cleaning, acid washing, and surface preparation of pool interiors and tile surfaces. Assist in repair of pool structural components as required.   Tools & Equipment Operation Operate hand and power tools used in pool installation and servicing, including: Chipping tools Grinders and cutting tools Pressure washers Pumps and testing equipment Operate company vehicles to transport tools, equipment, and materials to job sites. Perform routine inspection and basic maintenance of tools and equipment.   Work Execution Carry out assigned installation and service tasks according to work orders. Work as part of a crew to complete assigned project tasks. Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas during installation and service activities. Follow established installation procedures and safety practices on job sites.   Qualifications Required Minimum 5 years of experience in swimming pool installation, repair, renovation, or servicing. Strong knowledge of swimming pool plumbing systems and mechanical equipment. Experience with both vinyl-lined and concrete swimming pools. Ability to use installation and repair tools safely and effectively. Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s Licence with clean abstract. Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks. Physically capable of working in outdoor environments and confined pool areas.   Preferred (Assets) WHMIS Certification Standard First Aid & CPR Working at Heights Certification Certified Pool Operator (CPO) Certification   Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry tools and materials Work in outdoor and seasonal weather conditions Stand, kneel, bend, and work in confined pool environments Perform physically demanding installation and repair tasks   Safety Requirements CSA-approved safety boots Work gloves Eye and hearing protection Respiratory protection when required Additional PPE as required by job site conditions
