CarHome Rental & Services Ltd. is a fast-growing vehicle rental company based in Calgary and Edmonton specializing in insurance replacement rentals and premium customer service. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Rental Service Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring an exceptional customer experience and supporting our operational growth.
Position: Rental Service Coordinator
Start Date: September 8th, 2025
Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Compensation: Starting from CAD $16.00 per hour (paid bi-weekly)
Benefits: 100% employer-paid health & dental coverage after probation

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service by handling inquiries (phone, email, in person), explaining rental processes, and coordinating bookings, changes, and cancellations.
  • Manage vehicle handover & inspection, including condition reports, cleanliness, fuel levels, mileage, and photo documentation.
  • Support front-end sales & business development by promoting add-on services (e.g., insurance upgrades, additional equipment) and assisting in corporate/insurance rentals.
  • Work closely with back-end accounting team to ensure contract, billing, and vehicle documentation accuracy.
  • Coordinate with the operations team for vehicle maintenance, servicing, and dispatching.
  • Assist with incident resolution, while upholding company standards.

Compensation & Incentives

  • Base Pay: CAD $16.00 per hour (Starting from)
  • Commission: 2% commission on rental revenue
  • 10% commission on the rental insurance sales
  • Must provide end-to-end customer service, including communications outside business hours, to qualify for commissions.
  • Quarterly Commission Payouts: March, June, September, December
  • Year-End Bonus: At company’s discretion, based on profitability and individual performance.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service skills and professional communication (verbal & written)
  • Valid Alberta Driver’s License with clean driving record
  • High School Diploma (minimum requirement); post-secondary education in business, hospitality, or related field is an asset.
  • Previous experience in car rental, automotive, or hospitality industry preferred but not required
  • Team player with attention to detail and problem-solving skills
