Description Our Transport Drivers provide exceptional customer experience, as well as timely and secure transportation equipment. This requires coordination with customers, Dispatch, Yard Workers, Salesforce, and Service Departments to deliver machinery to the proper location, while maintaining the ability to work safely, identifying hazards. Duties and Responsibilities Adhere to all applicable safety policies.? Comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards. Comply with all DOT, State and local traffic and highway laws, rules, and regulations.? Operate equipment in compliance with all legal weight and load size limits. Maintain time schedules for departures and arrivals for both regular runs and special runs. Operate transport trucks with or without trailers.? ? Perform a thorough check of the truck before and after each stop. Operate, load, and unload equipment Ensure that all loads are properly prepared, loaded, and secured before the vehicle proceeds from each stop. Prepare the manifest of all material picked-up during each trip. Check all material picked up or delivered at each stop against the manifest.? Remove and stow chains/straps and other gear when unloading. Document machine damage and report immediately. Prepare, maintain, and submit all transport reports, logs, and forms required by wheeler, including trip logs, driver reports, manifests, timecards or sheets and expense reports. Qualifications CDL/Medical card (A) is required Must have interpersonal skills to efficiently assist people in a professional manner. Must be able to operate truck and trailer safely and have a clean driving and safety record for the past 12 months. Must be able to read and correctly use permits, diagrams, and sketches (describing off-highway locations, routes, and job sites.) Give full, courteous cooperation and service to clients and other wheeler personnel. Maintain a professional image of wheeler in all contacts with the public. Must be able to prepare well documented service, job, and trip reports.
