SERVICE TECHNICIAN – BIG OIL RENTALS

Big Oil Rentals is a privately-owned, fast-growing oilfield rental company. We pride ourselves on fostering a positive work environment and rewarding proactive teamwork. We are seeking motivated and reliable Service Technicians to join our dynamic team in Grande Prairie, AB.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience: 2-5 years of related industry experience (preferred).
  • Certifications: H2S, First Aid, Fall Protection, and CSO training, or willingness to obtain.
  • Location: Reside in Grande Prairie, AB or in close proximity.
  • Driver’s License: Valid license with a clean abstract.
  • Skills:
  • Mechanical aptitude, strong work ethic, and safety-first attitude.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Excellent organizational and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or collaboratively.
  • Familiarity with oilfield roads and two-way radio protocol.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift heavy items or request assistance as needed.
  • Additional Skills (Preferred): Plumbing, electrical, or carpentry experience.
Responsibilities
  • Travel & Field Service: Operate one ton truck to travel to various locations to deliver, service or repair rental equipment.
  • Hauling Trailers: MUST have knowledge with hauling trailers.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Assemble, test, grease, paint, disassemble, and repair oilfield rental equipment.
  • Set-Up/Tear-Down: Perform setup and teardown of wellsite trailers, office trailers, wastewater systems, combo trailers, and light towers.
  • Diesel Engine Service: Maintain and repair diesel engines on light towers and generators, training will be provided.
  • Cleaning & Washing: Ensure rental equipment and fleet vehicles are clean and presentable.
  • Loading/Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading equipment. Operate or learn to operate skid steers for these tasks.
  • Equipment Prep: Prepare and load equipment for delivery.
  • Inspection: Evaluate incoming and outgoing equipment for maintenance or damages.
  • Documentation: Accurately complete safety, service, and maintenance paperwork. Submit invoices, receipts, and field tickets daily.
  • Safety & Compliance: Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and attend regular safety meetings.
