Job Description As a Rentals Attendant at Fairmont, you will be the first point of contact for guests looking to enjoy winter sports activities. You’ll provide exceptional service while assisting guests with the rental of equipment such as ice skates, snowshoes, cross-country skis, and snowboards. Your attention to detail, safety, and guest satisfaction will ensure a memorable and seamless winter adventure. Position Type: Seasonal Pay Rate: $19.47/hour Start Date: November 2025 Job Duties Include: Greet guests and assist them in selecting and fitting appropriate rental equipment (skis, snowboards, snowshoes, ice skates). Provide information on equipment features, proper usage, and safety tips. Assist with returns, check-ins, and sanitization of equipment after use. Perform routine checks and maintenance of equipment to ensure proper function. Assist with inventory control, including receiving, storing, and tracking equipment. Ensure guests complete rental waivers and adhere to all rental policies. Offer recommendations on trail conditions, skill-level suitable gear, and local activities. May be scheduled to support other areas of the Resort Activities department including Kids Camp, Health Club and Guest Programming. Qualifications Previous experience in Rentals, Recreation or a similar environment an asset Certification in CPR and First Aid required Comfortable working in cold temperatures (down to -40c) Must be physically capable of meeting the physical demands of the position You may be required to work on holidays, weekends, overnights, and other non-day shifts.
