Responsibilities

As a Repair Engineer Aero Derivative Gas Turbines (Shop support, Departure Records Management), you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting maintenance execution in the service shop including inspection and disposition of components.
  • Dis-positioning activities, ensuring the latest shop practices have been followed, report outstanding recurrent findings (Leading indicators) to the repair engineering teams.
  • Supporting operational targets such as the Turn Around Time
  • Supporting risk-based evaluation and risk-based mitigation action definitions
  • Preparing technical documentation supporting internal reviews of the project being accountable of the applicable action items.
  • Leading technical investigations and Root Cause Analysis activities on gas turbine components.
  • Supporting Development of repair and inspection technologies, process qualification, and industrialization. Related program deliverables to repair facilities.
  • Applying existing technologies, approaches, methodologies in new combinations to design new products, systems or processes

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a bachelor’s in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering. Master’s degree preferred
  • Have in-depth working experience working experience in a turbo machinery service shop.
  • Have previous, relevant experience working on Aero/ Aviation Derivative Gas Turbines.
  • Have previous experience developing and managing technical investigations
