THE OPPORTUNITY -

The AH-64E Apache is the world’s most advanced and proven attack helicopter. It integrates innovative technologies to aid the crew in decision making, offering a new level of battlefield dominance through enhanced performance, increased situational awareness, superior survivability, and improved target detection, acquisition and engagement.
We are seeking an experienced Repair Parts Store Operator, to support the AH-64E Apachehelicopter program. The Australian Apache’s will join the growing global fleet of more than 1280 aircraft operating in 18 countries, including coalition and regional partners.
This role is based in Townsville working alongside BDA and Australian Army members.

As the Repair Parts Store Operator, you will:

  • Be a vital part of the Supply Chain Capability and contribute to the business growth strategy
  • Manage Aviation specific inventory of repair parts
  • Ensure compliance with BDA and ADF safe warehouse operation policy’s
  • Support Disposal recommendations and action as required
  • Perform inventory checks and maintain accurate stock recording methods in accordance with Defence supply policy
  • Support the development of mitigation plans to avoid risk and resolve issues impacting the supply chain
  • Manages Fly Away Kits, Deployment Kits, Pack Up Kits and Consumable Sub Stores when held within operational element. Work alongside maintenance stakeholders in support of repair activity’s

    • Manages incoming/outgoing demands with the main warehouse.
  • Conduct Receipting, Storage and Issuing of defence materiel whilst adhering to defence supply chain policy
Responsibilities

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated 3 to 5 years + experience in Defence aerospace/Foreign Military Sales (FMS) supply chain management
  • A satisfactory level of physical fitness, required to perform certain levels of manual tasking.
  • Experience in Defence warehousing and distribution systems and methodologies
  • A working knowledge of the Australian Defence Force Electronic Supply Chain Manual
  • Previous experience in Purchasing and Supply Management in aviation and/or Defence environment.
  • A strong working knowledge of Defence Aviation Logistic IT systems such as ERP SAP (Desirable)
  • The ability to work within a team
  • Excellent interpersonal and emotional intelligenc
