Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, are now recruiting for a talented Repair Support Engineer – Avionics to play a key role in the success of our brand new Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul facility in Tewksbury. The role:
As a Repair Support Engineer – Avionics, you’ll be at the heart of our engineering support for Ontic’s UK MRO operations, external suppliers, and customers.

You will:

  • Support MRO products across their lifecycle – from New Product Introduction (NPI) to retirement – covering technologies such as complex electronics, electrical, electro-mechanical, and barometric systems.
  • Provide technical expertise to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyse maintenance data (CMMs, SBs, etc.) to identify and execute required processes and testing.
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation and reports.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Deliver training to technicians and operators.

About you:

You’ll bring a strong mix of technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a passion for aviation. Ideally, you have:

  • A degree (or equivalent) in a technical subject, or significant relevant industry experience.
  • Previous experience in technical support or production engineering within manufacturing – aerospace experience is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of MRO Civil & Military procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
  • Competency in using MS Office and ERP systems.

Flexibility and a willingness to travel for technical support are important, as is the ability to work outside core hours when required.
