Job Summary: The Repair Technician will perform general maintenance and repairs at the station on Air Cargo equipment (Containers, Pallets, Nets). Principal Duties & Responsibilities: * Abide by all company and aviation authority rules and guidelines * Perform maintenance on Air Cargo equipment in accordance with applicable regulated maintenance documents, to include: Sheet metal repair, drilling, riveting, etc.; Documenting work performed; Interfacing with computers/tablets; Reporting discrepancies; Maintaining organized work-station area, including parts, tools, and supplies. * Assist with upkeep of the facility * Performs other duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities: * Ability to use hand tools and power tools * Ability to interface with computers/tablets * Demonstrated ability to work independently, multi-task and apply initiative * Positive attitude, excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others * Safety conscious Education and Experience: * High School Diploma or GED required * TIG welding experience preferred * Related experience preferred * Military reservists welcome, we can work with your monthly and annual obligations Physical Requirements: * Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment * Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds * Must be able to pass drug test per Federal Aviation Association (FAA) requirements * Prolonged periods of standing and walking; ability to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to service equipment Work Schedule & Location: * Location: Onsite. Candidate must be local to our facility in Oceanside, NY. * Schedule: Monday through Friday. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs. Responsibilities
