Overview Perform a variety of routine tasks to ensure repair shop quality standards are met; will include calibration, testing and troubleshooting. Responsibilities Proficient in Oracle, MS-Outlook & other computer software as required. Ability to type at lest 20 wpm. Operate programmable auto-testers, samplers, real-time oscilloscopes, pulse generators, meters, power supplies, and special test fixtures. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal. Ability to read and understand schematics and other technical publications in order to facilitate troubleshooting, repair and testing. Familiarity of electronic circuit design to facilitate fault isolation and troubleshooting. Ability to use Volt-ohm meters, oscilloscopes, frequency meters, distortion analyzers, audio and video signal generator, and semi-automatic test equipment. Ability to work on complex, miniature electromechanical devices using common hand tools. Experienced in the use of power tools. Familiarity with soldering techniques on surface mount technology where acrylic conformal coating is used is required. Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment. Ability to work independently and be assertive. Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments. Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations. Qualifications AAS Degree (or region specific equivalent degree) majoring in electronics or related field desired. Technician Certificate equivalent to AAS or equivalent military technical education. 3 - 5 years bench experience in an electronic systems repair environment. Ability to travel, up to 10-20% of the time to domestic and/ or international locations. Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. REQ-154084
