Description *This position is fully on-site, five days a week, at our McKinney, Texas office.* Position Summary: Responsible for making warranty and non-warranty repairs to customer RMA equipment, testing all incoming inventory from contract manufacturers, and preparing machines for customer orders. Also assists with annual year-end inventory and field services projects as needed. Job Responsibilities · Conducts all electronic repairs onto equipment according to company’s engineering standards. · Submits customer orders for machine repairs documenting service codes. · Identifies the repairs as warranty or non-warranty and manages accordingly. · Coordinates with contract manufacturer for repair of products under CM warranty. · Manages the warranty repairs by working with the manufacturer in the documentation of the equipment. · Troubleshoots equipment problems and identifies needed repairs. · Obtains assistance, when needed, on difficult equipment repairs from engineering team or field staff as needed for special projects. · Tests all incoming and outgoing equipment to ensure equipment functions according to specifications is maintained adequately. · Assists with shipping and receiving when needed by unloading and/or assisting with the delivery, checking in all materials, matching purchase orders to sales orders. · Documents policies and procedures relating to repairs and maintenance of equipment. · Reports hardware issues to engineering team and coordinates for resolution. · Conducts special testing projects for engineering team as directed. · Assists with inventory management. · Assists with quality management. Job Qualifications · Associates degree in electronics or associate level electronics certification. · Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electronics industry working with electronic repairs on equipment. · Good verbal and written communication skills. · Strong organizational skills and detailed-oriented. · Experience working within a quality management process. · Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities · Advanced knowledge and understanding of electronic equipment repair and standard diagnostic tools. · Ability to analyze problems, identify potential solutions and to take corrective and preventive measures. · Good mechanical ability in handling and repairing simple equipment, tools and machinery. · Good soldering skills · Good time management and prioritization skills. · Ability and willingness to travel up to ~10% of the time Physical Demands Equal amounts of time spent walking/standing, pulling/pushing, sitting and lifting. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds. Work time spent is generally handling tools, equipment and materials. Working Environment This position is typically in a warehouse environment with moderate degrees of dirt, heat, and some intensive noise. The position will be located in our McKinney, TX office. The expected hourly range for this position is $20-$25/hour, depending on experience. The role is also benefits eligible.
