Description

Can you spot a faulty capacitor from across the room? Then you could be the technical specialist who ensures our electronics stay reliable, efficient, and operational.
This role will involve repairing/modifying production returned Printed Circuit Boards in accordance with Quality and Industry standards.

The Repair Technician role will involve:

  • Using detailed work instructions to assemble products to customer specifications and Industry standards IPC-J-STD-001
  • Ensure all repaired/reworked product meets internal quality standards and IPC-A-610 workmanship criteria of repaired/reworked
  • Ensure all repaired/reworked product meets Industry standards IPC-7711/7721
  • Liaising with and supporting production rework/repair requirements
  • Inspecting PCBs using magnification equipment
  • Follow repair logs, and visual aids to complete assigned tasks
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and components replaced
  • X-ray inspecting of built assemblies to ensure quality of product

For this role you will need:

  • Ability to work to written instructions and bills of materials
  • IPC certifications are desirable
  • Experience in rework / repair is preferable, but training can be provided onsite
  • Highly flexible and proactive approach in order to meet required quick turnaround times
  • Able to respond to changes in demand and meet tight deadlines

This role is full time, permanent and onsite in Hook, Hampshire.
